One week before his run in Mary Poppins came to an end, Nathan travelled up to Leeds, to start rehearsals for the Christmas production of Alice In Wonderland, at the famous West Yorkshire Playhouse. After spending most of the week in Leeds, he went back to London for the last three shows of the week, before returning to Yorkshire to carry on the run in earnest.
The show started previewing on the 28th November, and opened officially on the 6th of December 2005.
Nathan spent his time during Act I dressed as a monkey (See photo), and in Act II, took the role of the Knave of Hearts.
After 88 performances, packed into a ten-week run, the show closed on February the 4th, 2006.
While performing in Alice In Wonderland, Nathan was delighted to be able to perform a solo presentation of Lewis Carroll's epic nonsense poem, The Hunting of the Snark.
Around seventy people attended the performance, which lasted for just over half an hour. Nathan learnt the 141-verse poem while still in his teens, and fourteen years later, was finally able to share it with the world.
The Hunting of the Snark tells the tale of a band of ten intrepid explorers on their quest to find the mythical beast, the Snark. On the way, they have various madcap adventures, until they finally stumble upon the object of their quest, but is it all that they expected it to be?
