Nathan's second job was Aladdin, also at Northampton's Royal Theatre.

The show was part of the 95/96 season, and opened immediately after They're Playin' Our Song finished. This meant that Nathan (along with Sallyann Barber) was rehearsing the panto in the day, and performing the musical at night. Although very tiring, it was a chance for Nathan to experience what true repertory theatre is all about, and couldn't have been a better way to start a career.

Nathan played Wun Sung Hi in the show, one half of the Chinese Policemen Comedy Duo. His partner in crime, the predictably named Wun Sung Lo was played by Tony Wilder. Their on-stage relationship was punctuated with many hits over the head with foam-rubber truncheons.
