An Evening with Chris Passey & Friends

On Sunday the 22nd of January, Nathan performed in a special concert featuring the music of Birmingham-based composer, Chris Passey, at the Lounge underneath The Leicester Square Theatre.

With a full band, and a host of West End talent on offer, not to mention some wonderful backing vocals from a choir made up of students from the MTA, it really was a night to remember.

The 70-seatre theatre was packed to the rafters, and the atmosphere was wonderful.

The cast for the evening was made up of: Joseph Connor, Stevie Webb, Shona White, Nathan, Danny Lane, Ziggy Sky Ward, Carl Au, Kayleigh Stevenson, Nadine Cox, Amy Carroll, Allyson Ava Brown, David Brewis & Matthew Barrow.

As well as many of the tracks from Chris' album, Self Taught, Still Learning (pictured), there were songs from new writing team Anderson and Petty, and song more well-known numbers as well.  It all added up to being a very varied and interesting evening.

Although the night was called An Evening with Chris Passey And Friends, Nathan felt like a bit of a charlatan, as he had only met Chris for the very first time at the band call that afternoon, but they both appeared in the charity convert, A Night For Jennifer back in October, as well as singin on the Christmas charity single, The One, which was written by Chis and lyricist, Amy Carroll, so he has at least been friends with Chris' music for a while!
